Bio-composite is a composite material made from teak dust, polymers, and additives—also known as Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). Its high density results in very low water absorption and increased strength, making it ideal for outdoor applications.
Bio-composite is a composite material made from recycled teak dust, recycled HDPE and additives, also known as Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). It has the look and feel of real teak, with 80% recycled content, of which 70% is organic, and it is 100% recyclable. Its high density means very little water absorption and high strength, which makes it suited to outdoor use.
The material is produced by our sister company Destination Green, one of Indonesia’s largest bio-composite manufacturers. Destination Green also produces structural teak glulam from recycled teak; the sawdust from that production is reused in the bio-composite. Products include decking (boards and click tiles), cladding, roof shingles, T&G flooring, fencing, boat decking and furniture components, used in projects such as Sarinah in Jakarta and in hotels, resorts and villas.
